Vance Cariaga

Vance is a contributor to Consensus covering primarily business and sustainability. He graduated with a BA in English from Appalachian State University and also studied journalism at the University of South Carolina. Previously he worked as an editor and reporter for a variety of publications and websites, including Investor’s Business Daily, the Charlotte Business Journal, the Charlotte Observer, Street & Smith’s Sports Business Journal, Seek Business Capital and GOBankingRates. His reporting has won awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, while his fiction has won awards from Writer’s Digest. He spends his free time biking, reading crime novels, listening to jazz, cooking and watching too much sports on TV. Vance’s debut novel, “Voodoo Hideaway,” was published in 2021 by Atmosphere Press
